Put the refusal notice, date received and stated review or appeal route at the front. The first review should show the immigration route, the rule or requirement relied on and the deadline for any response.

- Route relied on, including work, family, long residence, protection or other category.
- Administrative review, appeal or judicial review deadline shown in the decision.

- Passports, travel history, eVisa, BRP and share-code evidence.
- Residence, employment, tax, study, family or sponsor records.
- Absence schedule and evidence explaining any disputed absence.
- Criminality, debt, tax or suitability correspondence if relevant.
- Evidence submitted with the application and evidence not yet considered.
Define The Review Question
An administrative review is not the same as a fresh application or a full merits appeal. The enquiry should identify the claimed caseworking error and what evidence supports it.
- Draft review grounds or bullet-point errors if prepared.
- Evidence showing a document was submitted or overlooked.
- Any legal representative correspondence or previous advice.
- Linked human rights, removal, work, study or family impact evidence.
- The specific work requested: advice, review drafting, urgent conference or judicial review assessment.
