Direct Access can be a focused route for defined advice, drafting or advocacy where the matter is suitable. Fees and scope should always be agreed before you instruct a barrister.

Some matters may be suitable for fixed-fee work. The barrister or chambers will confirm whether a fixed fee is available for the work requested.

A barrister may be able to advise on the strengths, weaknesses, evidence and procedural options in your matter once they have reviewed the relevant papers.

Where suitable, a barrister may help draft documents, prepare for hearings, advise on settlement or represent you in court or tribunal.

If your matter is urgent, include hearing dates, court orders and filing deadlines so availability and suitability can be reviewed quickly.

    Yes. We have access to 1,000 Barristers at 210 different chambers in England & Wales. We can compare them for you. If you have a particular budget we will try to get you legal representation to fit that budget.

    Many barristers can quote a fixed fee for clearly defined work, or explain what information is needed before a fee can be confirmed. All fees, scope and payment terms should be agreed with the barrister or chambers before work begins.
