Website operator

Barristers4U is a trading name of INSURE24 LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07805025. Its registered office is 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF.

What Barristers4U does

Barristers4U provides a legal-enquiry intake and barrister quote-matching service. We collect information so a potentially suitable barrister or chambers can consider the enquiry. Barristers4U is not a law firm, chambers or barrister, is not regulated by the Bar Standards Board, and does not provide legal advice or representation.

A barrister or chambers independently decides whether the matter is suitable for Direct or Public Access, whether they are available, what work they can accept, and what scope and fee they will offer. Submitting an enquiry does not create a barrister-client relationship, guarantee a response or amount to acceptance of instructions.

Urgent matters and deadlines

Using this website does not stop or extend any limitation, court, tribunal, appeal, response or other deadline. Do not rely on an enquiry submission if a deadline is approaching. Seek appropriate urgent assistance through another route where necessary.

Your responsibilities

Information sharing and privacy

We use information as described in our Privacy, Data Protection & Cookie Notice. Where you agree, we may share relevant enquiry information with a potentially suitable barrister or chambers for assessment. If they offer to act, they will provide their own terms, privacy information and regulatory details where applicable.

Fees and engagement

Barristers4U does not guarantee a fee or quote. Any fee, scope, payment arrangement, cancellation term and professional engagement must be confirmed by the barrister or chambers before work begins. Do not make a payment unless the recipient, purpose and governing terms are clear.

Website information and third-party links

Website content is general information for England and Wales and may not apply to your circumstances. Law, procedure and regulatory guidance can change. We aim to keep material useful and accurate but do not guarantee that every page is complete or current.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience or evidence. Those websites are controlled by their respective operators, and their inclusion does not create a partnership or endorsement.

Availability and acceptable use

We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the website to maintain, secure or improve the service. You must not attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape the service in breach of applicable restrictions, or use it in a way that impairs another person's use.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the website design, branding and original content are owned by or licensed to INSURE24 LIMITED. You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial use. Other reproduction or commercial reuse requires permission unless the law permits it.

Responsibility for loss

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, INSURE24 LIMITED is not responsible for professional advice, representation or services supplied independently by a barrister or chambers, or for loss caused by reliance on general website information instead of advice on an individual matter.

Questions and complaints

Questions or complaints about the website or matching service can be sent through our contact form or by writing to the registered office. Complaints about professional services supplied by a barrister or chambers should follow the process they provide; information is also available from the Bar Standards Board and Legal Ombudsman.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. The version published when you use the service applies to that use. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the courts with jurisdiction under applicable law.
